The expansive installation by exhibition organizer Peter Noever in the Trinkhalle Bad Ischl presents 28 positions / manifestos on the topic of peace with artworks / posters specially designed for the exhibition, which are available in a limited edition and were provided free of charge by the artists. The intention of the exhibition Peace Now! – The Artist's Voice is to open up a forum, a platform, a space for artists in particular for a moment. A space for free thinking, as well as for alternative perspectives. 28 stations, 28 art posters open up the opportunity to take selected positions with you and carry them on. The "Dove of Peace", which was specially produced as a neon object, and the peace flags of the Trinkhalle once again illustrate the claim of this extremely topical and important initiative.

„Die Kunst ist eine der Manifestationen des Schöpfungsprinzips im Universum. Der Krieg hingegen ist eine zerstörerische Kraft gegen die Schöpfung.“, Kiki Smith, New Yorker Künstlerin. Darauf hinzuweisen ist gerade heute ein besonderes Anliegen der renommierten und gleichsam faszinierenden Künstlerin.
Anish Kapoor, einer der einflussreichsten und erfolgreichsten zeitgenössischen Künstler, drückt seinen Unmut, seine Besorgnis über das sinnlose Sterben von Unzähligen mit der Forderung nach „Krieg darf nicht länger das Erbe sein, das wir unseren Kindern hinterlassen“ aus. Selbst, wenn es um die unbestrittene Gerechtigkeit geht, erklärt er: „Krieg, Nationalismus und Kapitalismus sind die Werkzeuge der Unterdrückung, die von den Menschen, die wir an der Macht halten, genutzt werden, um die am wenigsten Fähigen in unserer Gesellschaft zu unterdrücken und zu beherrschen.“

„Die Aufgabe der Kunst ist es nicht, irgendjemandes Interesse oder Ideologie zu präsentieren – ihre Kraft und Bedeutung liegt in der Radikalität des Denkens.“, Peter Noever. Dieser Leitgedanke führte zur Ausstellung „Peace Now!“
