Mountain service on the holiday

Traditionally, on the holiday of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on 15 August (a holiday in Austria), a mountain service takes place in the "Seekarkirche" (name of the church) in Gosau in memory of the ancestors and their secret services. After the mass, there will be a celebration in the "Onare Hut" with food and drink. For all those who are a little less able to walk and want to be there, the Gosau Tourist Office offers a driveway. It is important: For organizational reasons, please register in advance. You can find the contact below under "Information at a glance". The organizers are looking forward to your visit and of course hope for a magnificent summer day.

Note for international visitors: The service on the mountain in Gosau will only take place in German. However, due to its imposing location, it is a unique holiday experience.
